In partnership with the University of Iowa, the Iowa Dept. of Public Health is pleased to offer health care providers free assistance with tobacco cessation. The Iowa Tobacco Research Center (at the University of Iowa) will work with staff at your individual clinic to integrate comprehensive tobacco cessation for patients into your practices.
Areas Include:
- Integrating tobacco status and quit attempts into vital signs and charting
- Educating clinicians on FDA approved tobacco cessation medications
- Patient Intervention and Referral
- Referral Resources (including Medicaid and Quitline Iowa)
